Memo Text

DESE, in partnership with Marzano Research, continues to provide support for the High Reliability Schools (HRS) framework.  From October 4th through October 21st, schools will have access to distribute online surveys from Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 of the HRS framework.  This is the first survey administration window for the 2022-2023 school year, with a second window open from January 24th through February 10th.  A Spanish language translation is available for all surveys.

Survey analysis is conducted in partnership with Hanover Research.  Reports for each participating school will be placed in the Arkansas Digital Locker on November 18th, 2022.

Two different professional development opportunities will be offered to support schools in implementing the HRS framework:

September 9 - Preparing for the HRS Survey/HRS Overview with Shelley Gies Session #486861

  • What is HRS?
  • Should our school administer the survey?
  • How do we know which level should be administered?
  • What are suggestions for administering the HRS survey?

December 5 - HRS Survey: Setting Priorities based on Survey Results with Shelley Gies Session #486863

  • How to interpret the survey results?
  • How to prioritize the needs based on survey results?
  • What lagging indicators support the leading indicators?
  • How to seek HRS certification?
  • What are the next steps?
